With a great selection like ours to choose from it's not easy to single out one wine for recommendation but here we'll suggest wines by categories we hope you'll find useful.
Sparkling Wine for a festive moment
The Italian Prosecco of Montesel
From the rolling hills just west of Venice, this little appelation makes a fine bubbly, a richly scented wine, a beautiful wine that overwhelms the palate with a velvety softness and a lively effervescence. It has a fruity scent of peach, apple, pear. A rich and fresh sensation.
Great White Wine
The Albarino of Bodegas Castro Martin
If you've never had the pleasure or all ready know how wonderful a classic Albarino can be, you'll appreciate this one. Perfect to sip, with ceviche or with first courses right up to light meats.
Valpolicella can be wonderful to begin a meal.
The Valpolicella Classico Superiore of Viviani
Allowed to age on the skins used in the Amarone, wonderfully scented from a small artisan winemaker and vineyards high above Verona. This is a medium plus weight wine with rich, lovely complexity and qualities of the more expensive Amarone.
Rioja for a rich or meaty meal
Luis Canas Crianza Rioja
This full rich wine from one of Rioja's truly rising stars matches lamb or beef or rich sauced dishes.
Burgundy, the Divine
Henri Felettig's tiny production of perfume like wines
You'll swoon to the highly perfumed aromas of this Chambolle Musigny, balanced and delightful throughout. Enjoy with duck or seared foie gras or chocolates.
Dessert wine Recommendation
We go back to Viviani for his Recioto della Valpolicella
Wonderful complex aromas from the selection of grapes for Amarone. A divine and slight sweetness give the perfect wine to finish a meal.
